Confering Movers Certificates for 795 Young Learners
On May 18, 2010, the Vietnam-USA Society English School (VUS) will hold a Movers certificate presentation ceremony for 795 child learners at the City Hall Theater - 7 Lam Son Square, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1.
The Movers certification program is designed for children from 6 years and older. Not only does the program help children with their language skills but it also helps them become more confident. They are trained in four skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Both native English teachers and Vietnamese teachers teach a curriculum that builds a solid English foundation for children. They are exposed to English learning at an early age and prepared for integration into the international educational environment. Research shows that children who have good academic results, especially those with excellent foreign language skills, often feel more confident than other children of the same age. Hence, there are many opportunities for them to reach future success.
According the the international Cambridge exam centre, VUS young learners score an average of 30 percent better than that of other students in Asia.
One more difference that can be seen from VUS is the continuous training process in which the curriculum and qualification system is a diverse range of international certificates, starting with Movers and Flyers for children, and TOEIC Bridge and TOEIC (English for International Communication), and finally TOEFL iBT for teens and adults. Completing the Movers certificate is a very important step for children in the process of learning English, paving the way for them to achieve higher goals in English in the future.
