Movers certificates awarded to 402 Young Learners (12-06-2010)
PRESS RELEASE
Ho Chi Minh City, 13 June 2010
On June 13, 2010, the Vietnam-USA Society English Training Centers (VUS) held a ceremony to award Movers certificates to 402 young learners at the Grand Theatre.
The Movers English Certification Program at VUS is for children from 8 years of age and upwards. The program not only helps the children improve language skills but also become more confident in their English abilities. They are trained in the four key skills – listening, speaking, reading, and writing – by teachers who are native speakers of English. The children’s curricula build a solid foundation of English as soon as they come into contact with the language and prepare them for integration into the international educational environment.
VUS’s Mover students develop listening and speaking skills through group activities, games, songs, and drama. They learn vocabulary and grammatical structures through vivid visual images like posters, flashcards, video, puppets, toys and more, which are specifically designed to help them remember what they learn in each class. Every class’s teachers and teaching assistants help students with full caring and thorough preparation. They also monitor each child’s attendance, academic performance, and level of engagement during class. The school reports the learning progression after each session as well as study results in the middle and at the end of each course. Therefore, parents can leave behind any worry they might have about their children once they study with VUS.
In particular, according to statistical figures, VUS students’ scores in the Cambridge International certification exams are 30% higher than the scores achieved by children in other Asian countries. Another difference of the Vietnam-USA Society English Training Centers is the thorough learning and teaching process and the qualification system of international diversification, starting with Movers and Flyers certificates for children, TOEIC Bridge and TOEIC (English for International Communication), and finally TOEFL iBT for teens and adults. Completing the Movers certificate is a very important step in the process of learning English, which provides a strong platform for children to continue to achieve positive results throughout their English studying careers.
