CAMBRIDGE FLYERS – THE ENGLISH STANDARD FOR PRIMARY STUDENTS

Studying English is a good start for students, especially primary students, in order to help them develop their knowledge to integrate successfully into the world education.

VUS is a pioneer in introducing Cambridge programs in Vietnam and has given tens of thousands of students the opportunity to get Cambridge Flyers Certificates from Cambridge University. On 26/9/2010, at the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House, VUS presented Cambridge Flyers Certificate to 408 excellent VUS students. There were 30 students that achieved the perfect score of 15 Shields in this round of examinations.

As an internationally recognized qualification, Cambridge Flyers exams are professionally organized as any other exam from Cambridge University. Moreover, the test has beautiful illustrations and includes topics familiar to the children. Therefore, the test is very suitable for children from 6-12 years old. Recently, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has decided to have the Cambridge program taught in primary schools. Cambridge Flyers helps students and parents to have a clear understanding of the student’s English level in all listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Having an international qualification like Cambridge Flyers is a good start for the students in their English learning journey.

According to the Testing Center of Cambridge University, VUS students’ average score on Cambridge tests is 30% higher than that of other students in Asia and in the world. It is a great achievement for VUS students and will give them excellent opportunities in future. Upon finishing the Flyers program, students can continue to study at more advanced levels such as TOEIC Bridge, TOEIC and TOEFL iBT. In addition, students can also attend the high school English programs to apply for cultural exchange scholarships to study in the US or to enter schools in the UK, US, Australia, Canada and New Zealand directly.
