VUS wins ISO gold cup prize (01-02-2010)

On 17 January 2010, UNESCO Vietnam and the Committee for Science, Technology and Environment of the National Assembly held the fifth ceremony at the Opera House, Hanoi, to award the ISO Gold Cup to 57 outstanding companies that have applied the international standard management system in production and trading. In particular, VUS is the first-ever English training system to receive the ISO Gold Cup.

The ISO Golden Cup Award, held annually, is in recognition of the expertise of managers and leading experts on technical standards and quality in the country. Through two rounds of selection of more than 400 enterprises, the Board of Judges selected 57 outstanding units for the award. The units selected are enterprises with not-stop efforts in innovating, applying science and technology, improving the quality of production and servicing, undergoing healthy competition, and contributing to the protection of the natural environment.

Currently, VUS applies the quality management system ISO 9001:2008 certified by BSI - British Standards Institution. With 10 training institutions in Ho Chi Minh City, VUS had built an international standard training model from training programs, teaching materials, work processes, teacher and staff quality, facilities, qualifications, as well as the output of students. VUS is a large English training center not only in Ho Chi Minh City but also across the country. Every year VUS trains more than 150,000 learners and provides internationally accredited certificates to tens of thousands of them.

Besides the major awards VUS has achieved for outstanding achievements in English training activities in 2009 (such as the Most famous brand in Education - Training sector, Super Cup for strong brand and sustainable development), the ISO Golden Cup award again recognizes and affirms VUS as a business unit of quality, and prestige, and helps build a business image in the community for sustainable development.
