"The Dam Sen camping trip was great. Not only did I have the opportunity to practice English with teachers David and Jessica, but I also learned many new things, especially about magic tricks. I can even perform for my parents the tricks that I learned from this trip." This quote came from Ngoc Anh, a 9-year-old Vietnamese student of the Vietnam-USA Society English Training Center, 218 Nguyen Trai Campus, after attending Dam Sen Magic Camp on May 31st, 2010.

This exciting summer trip to Magic Camp kicked off a series of must-attend summer programs put on by the school system of the Vietnam-USA Society English Training Centers.  Magic Camp is designed for young learners from 6 to 9 years of age.  By participating in this program, students learned and practiced the basic skills of magic performance from renowned magicians in the city.  The students were all amazed while watching the magicians perform their special illusions, and they were even more excited to learn how the experts did their magic tricks. "Then doing magic tricks is just that simple?" said Huy Phat with a big smile.  After practicing, any child could skillfully perform a number of magic tricks with guidance from the professional magicians.

In addition to learning the secrets behind various magic tricks, the children also went swimming in the water park and participated in many exciting games. One particularly enjoyable activity was a boat trip to visit prehistoric dinosaurs at the Dinosaur Park. The students loved seeing many different species of dinosaurs and learning more about the history of these extinct animals.

The trip came to an end, but the children did not want to leave because they wanted to continue playing, swimming, doing magic tricks and learning English. "The trip was very impressive and very ... magic. I will ask my parents for permission to join the camp again next year," said participant Ngoc Ha.
