On September 10, 2010, in the Government Guest House Hall, the Vietnam-USA Society (VUS) English Center system was awarded the Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Achievements in Training Activities for the academic year 2010-2011 by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training.

For years, the Vietnam-USA Society English Center system has been known as a prestigious center of English training on a large scale in Ho Chi Minh City as well as across the country. Each year, VUS trains more than 15,000 students and creates conditions for tens of thousands of students to get international certificates such as the Cambridge Flyers, TOEIC Bridge, TOEIC, and TOEFL iBT.

In 2010, VUS continued to renovate  all its campuses. In particular, the school system opened a new headquarters at 189 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street, an 11-storey building with standard classrooms and many new facilities to help students approach a professional, effective, and comprehensive English learning environment.

The certificate of merit awarded by the HCMC Department of Education and Training strongly reinforced the contributions of the Vietnam-USA Society to the education and training cause in the city in particular, and to the education of the country in general.
