Movers Certificates to be awarded to 770 VUS students (06-01-2011)

On December 26th, 2010, VUS organized an Award Presentation Ceremony at the Opera House to grant Movers certificates to 770 young students.

The VUS Movers program is designed for students who have completed the Movers course within the Superkids program. The program develops both students’ English skills and confidence. In the program, students have opportunities to practice all four skills (listening, reading, reading and writing) with native teachers. The program helps build up a solid foundation for the students from the beginning and prepares them for the international education environment.

The parents of Le Cuong Nam, VUS student at Khanh Hoi campus, said: “I have sent my son to VUS to study English since he was in first grade because I know that VUS is a prestigious English training center. Nam is very excited to come to class. I’m most impressed and satisfied with the fact that VUS has trained my son to be able to communicate in English with native speakers.”

Recent studies show that children who perform well at school, especially in foreign language courses, are usually more confident than their peers. Therefore, being fluent in English gives children more chances to succeed in future.

According to statistics from the Cambridge University Testing Center, VUS students’ average scores on Cambridge tests are 30% higher than those of students in the region and the world. Another typical aspect of VUS is that it offers diversified programs from the beginner level and has various international certificate preparation courses. They include Movers and Flyers courses for children, TOEIC Bridge, TOEIC (English of International Communication), and TOEFL iBT for teenagers and adults. Completing Movers level is an important step in studying English and is a good start for the children on their journey to acquiring the English language.
