VUS to open English course for staff of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (07-03-2010)

On 10 March 2010, VUS organized the Opening Ceremony for the English course for staff of the HCMC Party Committee at 215 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia campus.

This is a cooperation program between VUS and the Party Committee’s Personnel Department to train English to the Party Committee staff. VUS is also in partnership with the Party Committee in training English to candidates from the city’s Masters and Doctoral program.

Every year, more than 200 junior staff attend English courses at VUS and are awarded TOEIC and TOEFL iBT certificates. In addition, VUS offers many full and partial scholarships worth from several hundreds of million Vietnam Dong to several billion Vietnam Dong to the Party Committee’s staff. In 2010, VUS will award 96 scholarships worth more than one billion Vietnam Dong to the Party Committee staff who will attend the English for International Communication course.

VUS is very proud to be chosen as training partner for the Party Committee. We hope to contribute our part in the process of improving English skills for junior staff of the Party Committee, hence contributing to the development of Ho Chi Minh City as a whole.
