VUS regularly organizes training workshops and seminars for its teachers throughout the year. Among them, TESOL is the most popular academic event for English teachers in Vietnam. It is an annual event with participation from well-known speakers from around the world, to help teachers improve their knowledge and update methodologies to suit Vietnamese students.
VUS’ TESOL Workshops always introduce new ideas and trends in English teaching, and creates opportunities for English teachers to share knowledge and learn from international speakers and specialists. Through TESOL, VUS has created a sizeable forum for teachers to show its commitment and contribution to community development, which, in this case, is the development of teachers’ qualifications in the process of integration.
VUS has organized three successful TESOL workshops since 2006 with popular presenters coming from the region and the world such as: Andy Curtis; Alan Maley; Ian Walkinshaw; Clyde Fowle; Bruce Veldhuisen; Paul Grainger; Stephen Thomas; David Nunan and Grant Trew.
In addition, VUS also has frequent training courses and seminars to assist teachers’ professional development.
