VUS, in co-operation with TEFL International, will be hosting its 2nd Annual TESOL Conference with details as follows:

| Keynote Speaker: | Dr. Richard Day |
Dr. Richard R. Day is the head of the Department of Second Language Studies, University of Hawaii, USA. He is currently a visiting professor at Ubon Rajathanee University, Thailand. He was recently a visiting professor at Ha Noi University, Viet Nam, and Assumption University, Thailand.
Professor Day is the author of numerous articles and books, and has spoken at many international conferences. He is the co-author of a three-book series on teaching reading, Cover to Cover, published this year by Oxford University Press. He is the co-author of Extensive Reading in the Second Language Classroom and the co-editor of Extensive Reading Activities for Teaching Language, published by Cambridge University Press. Professor Day is the co-editor of the journal, Reading in a Foreign Language (http://nflrc.hawaii.edu/rfl/), and chairman of the Extensive Reading Foundation (www.erfoundation.org).
