For children from 4-6 years old (they are not required to know how to read)

Smart Kids program text books are selected from popular titles of well known publishing houses to suit children at a very young age.

Beautiful illustrations help children to understand the lessons easily. They will learn how to name and describe objects in English, understand the link between sound and pronunciation, explore word meaning and practice simple dialogues.

The program introduces various methodologies and activities to create interest in children such as using objects in daily life as teaching aids, pictures, crafts, games and songs. In each lesson, children learn new words and practice pronunciation using colorful illustrations. They also practice listening and speaking skills by watching video clips and interacting with foreign teachers.

As learner-centered approach is used in class, children practice language skills and critical thinking through group activities. They get special care which can only be seen in VUS. Foreign and Vietnamese teachers who are highly qualified, dedicated and experienced in teaching young learners will help children understand lessons easily and develop correct pronunciation right from the beginning.

Especially, VUS has dedicated teaching assistants to care for each child and assist them to develop naturally.

Timetable

• Saturday or Sunday: 8am – 11.30am
• Saturday and Sunday: 8am – 9.45am or 10am – 11.45am
• Tuesday and Thursday, or Wednesday and Friday: 4.45pm – 6.30pm

Tuition Fees

• Starlet: 1,2 :    2.973.000 VND/ class/ 38,5 hours
• Star 1,2     :    2.973.000 VND/ class/ 38,5 hours
• Moon 1,2  :    2.973.000 VND/ class/ 38,5 hours

Placement test

• Children will be placed in appropriate level after taking placement test.

Certificate

• After every level, students will receive VUS Certificate of Completion and teacher’s comments.

Requirements for students

• Students are required to attend all lessons. If students cannot come to class, their parents need to inform VUS.
• Students who are absent for more than 30% of class time will not be allowed to take the final exam.
• Tuition fees are non-refundable. In special cases, VUS will approve for the tuition fees to be transferred to later courses within three months.

Class transfer

• Class transfer request is only accepted in the first week of the course and is decided by the Student Recruitment Office. VUS will only give priority to students who really have difficulty in arranging time to attend the course.
• All inquiries should be directed to the Student Recruitment Office.
